Description

No 4 Birch Street is a 16th-century timber-framed house featuring a jettied upper storey that extends across the entire front. The bressummer displays moulded ornamentation, and the timber-framing is exposed on the upper level. The building has two storeys and a three-window range. The upper storey has 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, while the ground storey features double-hung sash windows, one of which also has glazing bars. The roof is covered with old tiles. This property is noted for its composite group interest.
