Description

No. 68 Park Street is a 16th century timber-framed building that features remnants of a jettied front. It has two storeys and two windows, topped by a high-pitched roof that has been renewed with machine tiles. The first floor is roughcast, while the ground floor is rendered. The north side is weatherboarded, and the south side is brick. At the rear, there are two gabled extensions. The first floor has modern glazing that is almost continuous. Inside, some beams are exposed, including heavy tie-beams and queen posts in the long room on the first floor. Although the doors have been replaced, they remain in keeping with the character of the building.
