TM 2499 SHOTESHAM THE STREET (east side) 8/116 Vinecroft

Cottage. Circa 1600 and later. Rendered timber frame with one brick gable- end. Plaintiled roof. L plan formed by nearly contemporary rear extension. One storey with attic. Central front door flanked by pair of C20 windows with leaded lights. Single gabled dormer with C18 2-light window with metal casement and leaded lights. Fine early C18 curved gable with internal stack and chequer patterned brickwork. Later external stack on other gable- end. Some empty diamond mullion mortices visible inside. One roof tie with empty queen post and arch brace mortices. Rafters renewed.
