Description
53A Damgate Street is a house with origins dating back to the late 17th century. It has two storeys, with a third storey added in the late 19th century, which was done in a way that does not blend well with the original structure. The building is constructed of brick and features a roof made of black glazed pantiles. It has two bays, with a panelled door located to the left under a segmental arch. To the right of the door are two sash windows, which likely replaced a former shop display window. There is a rendered platband at the first floor, and the upper two floors have two late 19th-century horned sash windows. A dentil eaves cornice is present below the gabled roof. The interior has not been inspected.
