Description

This building is an outhouse, possibly a former bothy, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a pantiled roof. The structure is two storeys high and features two bays of horizontal lattice ventilation openings set beneath segmental arches. There are opposing doorways, although one of them is blocked. A former gable-end stack is present, along with a ground floor fireplace that has a cambered lintel. A modern external stair leads to the upper floor. This outhouse is included for its group value with Upgate Green Farmhouse.
