Description
Forge Cottage is a former blacksmith's cottage dating from around 1700 and later. It features a rendered timber frame and a pantiled roof. The building is one storey with an attic and has fenestration that is likely original, including leaded lights and metal casements with the same original fittings. There are three gabled dormers. An added staged external stack is located on the west gable-end. The east gable-end is constructed of 18th-century brick with tumbling-in, and there is a later extension to the rear.
