Description

These are 17th century cottages located immediately east of Turnpike Cottage in Carleton Rode. They feature a plastered timber-frame and clay lump construction with a thatched roof that has gabled ends. An off-centre brick chimney stack is present. The cottages are two storeys high and have three windows, which are three-light early 19th century metal-frame casements. There are also two plank doors. A modern lean-to has been added to the south end.
