Description

Mr Cowan's Cottages are a pair of 17th century cottages located in a row on the south side of Wood Green in Long Stratton. They feature rendered timber-framing and have a steeply pitched pantile roof, with one end hipped due to later cottages adjoining the other end. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic and have three widely spaced windows, which are small two and three-light casements with glazing bars. There are also two plain plank doors and two brick chimney stacks, one of which is built into the adjoining cottage. Additionally, there is a small later dormer.
