Description

Howes Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier timber-frame house with a late 19th century addition. The building is plastered and features a long range with a steep black glazed pantile roof and gabled ends. The west end has been encased in red brick during the late 19th century, and there is an off-centre brick stack. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic. On the south side, there is a late 19th century gabled wing made of red brick with a black glazed pantile roof. At the rear, there is a 17th century timber-frame wing that is plastered and has a steep pantile roof with a gabled end, along with 19th century casements.
