Description

These are a pair of 17th-century two-storey cottages located on the south side of Silver Street. The cottages are constructed of rubble and have stone-tiled roofs. Each cottage features a hipped dormer window; one dormer has a decorative wooden eaves cornice with dentils. Originally, the windows were two-light casements with stone mullions, but these have largely been removed, and sash windows with glazing bars have been inserted. One mullioned window remains. The cottages have two square-headed doorways, one with simple stone surrounds and the other with a wooden lintel. Numbers 18 to 24 on Silver Street form a group.
