Description

The Old House is an 18th-century building of two storeys and an attic. It is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded cornice and plain parapet. The roof is now covered with modern pantiles and includes two dormers with wooden casements. The front has five windows, all sashes with glazing bars; the ground floor windows are accentuated by moulded flat cornices. The central entrance has a six-panel door set in a plain opening with a flat cornice above, and is approached by three steps. A fanlight is positioned above the door. A plinth course is visible at the base of the building. The structure extends to the rear, along Mill Lane, where an earlier gabled range is attached. The Old House is part of a group with numbers 18 to 24.
