Description

Nos 7 and 9 Woolley Street consist of two originally separate houses, dating from the 18th century, though they appear to have been refaced in the early to mid 19th century. The frontages are built of ashlar, featuring a moulded cornice and a parapet with coping, punctuated by balusters above the windows. The building is three storeys high, with a window arrangement of 1:2:1:2:1. The windows are sash windows without glazing bars; they have elliptical heads within keyed openings. Plain sill bands are present on the upper two floors. Three elliptical-headed, keyed door openings are present, each with a square-headed door beneath an arched fanlight, and a moulded cornice hood supported by brackets. Nos 1 to 21 (odd numbers), together with gate piers and a boundary wall at No 21, form a group.
