Description
Belvedere Stores and two adjoining cottages, dating from the early 18th century, are located on the east side of Ipswich Road in Long Stratton. The building is constructed of plastered clay lump, with the southern cottage being roughcast. It features a steeply pitched pantile roof with gable ends and stands two storeys high with an attic.
On the first floor, there are five sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded cases. The ground floor of the northern cottage has sash windows with glazing bars and a fielded panel door. Belvedere Stores includes two small modern shop windows and a wide 19th-century doorcase with fluted pilasters and an entablature. The southern cottage has a large modern ground floor casement window with glazing bars and a modern glazed door. Additionally, Belvedere Stores has a small attic dormer.
