Description
Burleigh Cottage and Farthings is a row of cottages that have been converted into two dwellings, with an attached outbuilding and loft on the right. The building dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with brick facing on the left gable end. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and the structure has two storeys.
The front has a five-window range of vertical sliding sashes and three doors: the left door is plank and muntin, the center door is boarded with a top light, and the right door has two panels. There is also a loft door on the first floor and a louvred opening to the right, which has two double doors below. The building is adorned with red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides, as well as an off-centre red brick chimney stack that has three attached square shafts and a moulded capping. The front wall is constructed of flint and red brick, topped with red brick coping.
