Description

Orchard Cottage and Cavernash is a pair of cottages, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. The cottages are timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. A thatched gabled dormer is present on the left side, and three red-tiled dormers are on the right. The cottages are one storey high with attics. The front has a five-window range of casement windows of varying styles. A 17th-century casement window is visible on the left return. A plain, vertically boarded door is on the left. To the right is an open, red-tiled gabled porch supported by timber, with a vertically boarded door and two sidelights. Two red brick chimney stacks are visible; one is to the left, and the other is off-centre to the right.
