Description
The boundary wall, gates, and gate piers to the Old Hall date from the 17th century. The structure features brick gate-posts that have moulded stone cornices and ball finials. These gate-posts are flanked by boundary walls that are partially crenellated. Each gate-pier has an oval boss at the base, which is matched by a similarly shaped hollow directly above it. The fine wrought iron gates are adorned with a scrolled overthrow and an arrowhead dograil.
