Description
This large barn, dating from the early 18th century, is located 35 metres west of the brewhouse at Cavick House in Wymondham. The barn is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and features a pantile roof. The south side has a plinth course and five irregularly placed brick buttress piers. There is a blocked segmental-headed doorway on the west side. The roof is gabled, hipped to the west, and has a stepped east gable. On the north side, there are various timber openings and a central brick buttress pier.
Inside, the barn has tie beams supported by arched braces, queen struts to the collars and principals, two tiers of staggered butt purlins, and straight windbracing at the west end.
