Description
The stables and coach house at Cavick House date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with gault brick dressings and feature a roof made of black glazed pantiles. The building is two storeys high, with a central bay that projects forward beneath a pediment, which is accentuated by rusticated gault brick quoins. The entrance has double timber doors beneath a tall rubbed brick arch, although the arch is bricked-in. A painted keystone is present, and there is a clock face in the pediment. On either side of the central entrance, there are two arched entrances for loose boxes, each with keystones. The left doors have one intact door, while the right doors are blocked and fitted with a wider timber door. The roof is hipped. Inside, there are chamfered bridging beams, but no loose box fittings remain. The roof has mostly been renewed, although it originally featured a staggered butt purlin type.
