Description

The remains of the chapter house and surrounding fragments of the Abbey Church are located on Church Street in Wymondham. The tall entrance arch to the chapter house dates from the 14th century and is constructed of flint and limestone. It features a pointed arch that has undergone significant repairs and is set within a wall. Scattered around the site are mounds of grass that indicate the foundations of the conventual buildings. This site is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
