Description
The garden walls to the west and southwest of No 18 (Holmwood House) date from the early 18th century and have undergone some rebuilding and repair. They are constructed of brick, with the front wall facing the street built in Flemish bond and featuring sloping buttresses at intervals. The wall has a dentil eaves cornice and rounded coping bricks. There are late 18th century rusticated brick gate piers leading to the drive. The west garden wall is also built in Flemish bond and is supported by occasional flat buttresses, topped with brick coping. These walls are included for their group value, although Holmwood House itself is not included.
