Description

Vine Cottage is a lobby entrance type farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It features a rendered timber frame and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall with an attic. The cottage has 20th-century casement windows that are likely in the original openings. The doorway is located opposite an off-centre axial stack. There are later extensions to the side and rear, as well as a later external stack on the south gable end. Inside, there is a winding stair next to the stack, and the original six-bay roof includes ogee and nicked chamfer stops.
