Description

This is a 17th-century barn located at Poplars on Ashwellthorpe Road in Wreningham. The barn is weatherboarded and partially rendered, topped with a thatched roof. It features seven bays and an 11-bay clasped purlin roof with arch-braced ties that are not connected to the rafters. An interesting detail is the painted vane on the south gable, depicting a hunter with a raised gun and his dog behind him, likely dating from the 19th century.
