Description

The King's Head Public House is an 18th-century building located on Norwich Road in Ashwellthorpe. It features a stuccoed exterior and a pantile roof with coped gable ends and a modillion eaves cornice. The structure is two storeys high and has three asymmetrical windows. The first floor has 19th-century casements with glazing bars, while the ground floor has modern casements. At the south end, there is an early 19th-century wing that is also stuccoed, with a pantile roof and brick dentil eaves. This wing has one window with 19th-century casements and a polygonal porch topped with a hipped slate roof. There is an additional early 19th-century wing at the rear (south-west) and a modern one-storey wing with a flat roof at the north end.
