Description
No. 24 The Close is a house dating from around 1840. It is finished in stucco and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three wide bays. The central door is flanked by flat pilasters and has a wide architrave with central guttae bands and a flat hood. The windows are sash style throughout, set in simple reveals with glazing bars, except for the right-hand window on the ground floor, which does not have glazing bars. There are shutters on the ground floor windows, and the building is topped with a paired modillion cornice.
