Description

No. 97 on Upper St Giles Street is a former house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 18th century, with a later 18th-century addition at the rear. The building is rendered and features rusticated quoins, topped by a pantile roof. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The shopfront, which is from the 19th century, includes pilasters and a door on the left side. The building has sash windows throughout, each with raised and moulded surrounds. There is a stringcourse between the first and second floors, and a parapet above. The roof is of two spans. Inside, there is a fine Adam ceiling in the rear of the first floor.
