Description
The Wig and Pen is a public house located at No. 6 on St. Martin-at-Palace Plain. Originally built in the 17th century, it has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building features a combination of painted brick and flint, topped with black pantiles. It is two storeys high and has five bays. The central entrance includes a door with a rectangular fanlight in a plain surround. To the right of the door is a single-storey canted bay, while to the left is a window with a mullion and transom. The first floor also has mullion and transom windows, which are set beneath segmental arches. A fascia cornice runs along the top, and there are three dormer gables with casement windows and bargeboards.
