Description
Nos. 1 and 2 at St. Martin at Palace Plain are a pair of buildings from the 17th century that have been altered in the 20th century. They are rendered and feature pantiles. The buildings sit on a corner site and consist of two storeys plus an attic. The first floor has a single central window on the Palace Street side, with sash windows that include glazing bars. The shopfront, which is from the 20th century, has pilasters and corner doors. There are also casement windows in the dormers and on the four-bay elevation facing St. Martin-at-Palace Plain, along with two dormer gables and a box cornice. The original use of the buildings is unknown, but they are currently used as a shop.
