Description

TG 2408 SW THORPE ROAD (north side) 25/861 5.6.72. No. 60 - II House, now office. Circa 1840 with later alterations. Painted brick with rendered plinth; hipped slate roof. 2 storeys; 2 first-floor windows. C20 panelled door with plain overlight is flanked by reeded pilasters with a pedimented hood. Canted ground-floor bay added to right. First-floor windows have 16-pane sashes under flat gauged brick arches. Paired modillion cornice. Later C19 extension to left has C20 casements, egg and dart cornice, parapet and one yellow brick chimney. No. 60A formerly listed with this property has now been demolished.
