Description
No. 21 Sussex Street is a former house that has been converted into flats. It dates from the early 19th century and features 20th-century additions at the rear. The building is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof, rising three storeys high with three bays. To the left, there is a 20th-century recessed bay. The central entrance has a door topped by an elliptical fanlight with curvilinear glazing bars and a rubbed brick arch. Fluted Tuscan columns are attached to the entrance. The windows are 20th-century sash windows with glazing bars and flat rubbed brick arches, while the central bay has blind windows. The eaves are adorned with a paired bracket cornice.
