Description

A terrace of seven houses dating to circa 1820, located off Chapel Field Road. The buildings are constructed of red brick with rendered plinths and have a slate roof, featuring twelve ridge chimneys and two end stacks. The terrace is two storeys high, with a consistent facade of twenty-one first-floor windows.

Each house presents a symmetrical appearance. The panelled, double-leaf style entrance doors each have overlights with lattice glazing bars, set within panelled reveals. These are flanked by two Tuscan half columns supporting a plain entablature and a small hood. Most windows are large-paned sashes set beneath flat, gauged brick arches. However, No. 7 has a complete set of sixteen panes in its sashes. A paired modillion cornice runs along the facade. The central three houses are set back slightly from the main line of the terrace.
