Description
St Mary's Croft is a former house that has been converted into a dental surgery. It was built in the late 19th century and features red brick construction with a pantile roof. The building has two storeys plus an attic and is composed of three bays, with the smaller central bay having a recessed 'Tudor' style.
The entrance porch includes a moulded brick two-centre arch and a curvilinear gable topped with ball finials, located partly in the left-hand bay. The windows are mullion and transom style, all equipped with dripmoulds. There are stringcourses formed from moulded-brick panels and a decorative corbelled saw-tooth cornice.
The outer bays of the second floor feature attic verandahs with primitive carved corner posts and low balustrading. A central dormer contains a two-light casement window and a curvilinear gable. The end gables are also curvilinear and include chimney stacks. The hipped verandah roofs are tile-hung and topped with pinnacles.
