Description
The Coach and Horses is a public house dating from the 16th century, with a 17th-century addition at the rear and an 18th-century single-storey block to the right. The building has undergone alterations in the 20th century. It features a rendered timber-frame on a ground floor made of flint rubble, with brick and flint construction. The roof is covered with pantiles and the building has a T-shaped plan. It stands two storeys high, with a jettied first floor on the left-hand side. There are four irregularly spaced windows on the first floor. The central door is plain and has a pilaster surround, with a double sash window to the right and a 20th-century casement window to the left. First-floor casement windows are also present. The building has a fascia cornice and a small flat-roofed dormer. Notably, it displays parish boundary plates from the years 1710, 1813, 1814, and 1827.
