Description
59 Bethel Street is a former house that has been converted into an office. It dates from the 18th century and has had some alterations in the 20th century, including a 2-storey side addition. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a pantile roof. It stands three storeys tall, plus a semi-basement, and has five bays. The central door surround has been blocked by a 20th-century window with a semi-circular fan-light above it. The early 19th-century style is evident in the attached Doric columns that support an open pediment, with sash windows throughout, all featuring rubbed brick flat arches. The building also has a bracket cornice and a two-span roof.
