Description
Number 61 is a former house that has been converted into a hostel. It dates from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and rear extensions added in the 19th century. The building is constructed of painted flint and brick, topped with a black pantile roof. It stands three storeys high and features five bays. The central entrance door is flanked by attached Ionic columns that support a flat hood. There is a small recessed door at the extreme left. The ground floor has sash windows set in simple reveals, while the first and second floors are fitted with casement windows that have drip moulds. A string course runs between the ground and first floors, and there is a box cornice at the top.
