Description

The building east of and adjoining the Bishop's Gate is a former barn that has been converted into an office and flat. It dates back to the medieval period, with alterations made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The structure is constructed of flint with stone dressings and features a plain and pantile roof.

On the north facade, the building is two storeys high and has a central doorway with a 20th-century door and fanlight, topped by a pointed relieving arch. To the left of the door, there is a 20th-century door and window, while the first floor has three narrow lancet windows.

The south facade has been re-faced with flint in the 19th century, although original flintwork remains on the right side. It features a central door flanked by mullion and transom windows, with a 20th-century window to the right and a single-light casement window above the door. There is also a 20th-century door located in a buttressed projecting bay at the extreme right, with the left-hand buttress having been remade. Above the door, there is a round-arched window with cusping and 20th-century glazing bars.
