Description

Bishop Renold's Chapel is a former chapel, now serving as a library, built between 1661 and 1676. The structure is made of stone and features a plain tile roof. The north elevation consists of two bays, with a small door located at the far right, which has a moulded two-centre arch and plain spandrels. Above the doorway is a badly weathered coat of arms. The building includes re-used three-light windows that have reticulated tracery and shafted surrounds. Additionally, there is a three-light east window that also features reticulated tracery, with attached shafts that have foliated capitals on the jambs and mullions.
