Description
Chalk Hill House is a house built in 1842, as noted on the pediment. It features painted brick and a pantile roof, with two brick ridge chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has five first-floor windows that are symmetrical, with bays defined by pilasters. The slightly projecting central bay contains half-glazed double doors, which are flanked by plain pilasters and brackets that support a lead-roofed hood. To the right are French windows. The other windows in the main range are sashes with glazing bars. The end wings, which are set back, have large-paned sashes with horns, positioned under flat gauged brick arches. A moulded brick stringcourse runs under the parapet, which features a central pediment supported by four acroteria.
