Description
Lollards Pit is a public house that originated as a house in the 15th century, with significant remodelling over the years. The building features a rendered facade with 20th-century timberwork, while the ground floor at the rear is constructed from red brick and flint rubble. It has a twin gable-fronted pantile roof and two red brick chimneys. The structure is two storeys high with an attic and has three windows on the first floor. The entrance includes a half-glazed door topped with a 20th-century hood supported by consoles. Throughout the building, there are 20th-century mullioned casements with leaded lights. To the right, there is a flat-roofed extension added in the 20th century. A blocked late medieval window can be found on the right side elevation. Inside, the building retains a 15th-century braced roof with collars and tie beams.
