Description
29 and 29A Elm Hill is a building that dates from the 18th century and later, originally serving an unknown purpose but now functioning as two shops. The structure features a timber frame that is rendered, with pantile roofs that have slightly different pitches. It has a central brick ridge chimney and a gable-end chimney on the left side. The building stands two storeys tall and has two first-floor windows that flank a small central casement. There is an inferred jetty suggested by a slight overhang on the first floor. The central entrance consists of double half-glazed doors that are flanked by pilasters and small side windows. The ground floor includes two 19th-century shop windows with glazing bars and large panes, along with a half-glazed door to the right. On the first floor, there are two mullioned casements with four and five lights respectively. The right gable features a brick kneeler.
