Description

No. 18 Elm Hill is a shop that has been converted into a house, featuring an 18th-century facade. The building has a timber frame that is rendered, topped with a pantile roof. It stands two storeys tall, with an additional third storey added later. The first floor has a jetty, and there are two windows on both the first and second floors. The early Victorian shop front includes central recessed double doors and wide windows with glazing bars, which are flanked by pilasters. Throughout the building, there are sash windows with glazing bars, with the second-floor windows having segmental heads. A wooden string course runs above the first floor, and there is a box cornice. The roof is hipped gable.
