Description

Garden Close is a house from the early 19th century, with an earlier core. It is constructed of rendered brick and has a pantile roof. The building has a rectangular shape and features five bays over two storeys. The extreme left bay was added around 1900 and has a buttress separating it from the rest of the house. The windows are leaded cross-casements, with the upper lights featuring 2-centred arch glazing bars. A porch was also added around 1900 to the fourth bay, which has a brick base and a central 8-panel door, flanked by leaded windows with semicircular heads and topped with a shallow pyramidal lead roof. The house has a moulded brick eaves cornice with dentils and includes two gable end stacks, along with one axial stack.
