Description
10 Market Place is an 18th-century building located on the south side of Holt Market Place. It is constructed of red brick and features a steep black-glazed pantile roof with a double pile 'M' roof design. The building has a three-storey, two-bay facade with sash windows. There is a later two-storey bay window that has a cornice and a lead flat roof. The facade includes brick quoins and dentil eaves, along with a brick string course at the second-floor level. The first-floor windows are topped with flat rubbed arches that have keystones. The gables are parapetted, and there is a chimney on the west gable. To the south, there is a gabled wing made of brick and pantile, which has two storeys and an attic, featuring casement windows, some of which have leaded lights. The building also has brick dentil and dogtooth eaves, and a simple doorcase on the west wall with panelled mouldings.
