Description

14 Market Place is an 18th-century building that has been rendered and colourwashed. It features a steep-pitched black-glazed pantile roof and is two storeys tall with an attic. The facade has four bays, with sash windows at the first floor level. There is an off-centre doorway leading to No 18, which has a doorcase with a pediment supported by brackets. A modern bay window with a cornice is present, along with bracketed eaves. The building includes two gabled dormers with casement windows. There is a modern shopfront at No 16 and a gabled brick and flint wing to the south, which has a parapetted gable with tumbling and brick dentil eaves. Nos 10-14, including this building, form a group.
