Description
No 18 on High Street is an 18th-century building constructed of colourwashed brick, with the ground floor rendered and colourwashed. It features a pantile roof with coped parapetted gables and gable chimneys. The building is three storeys tall, with the top storey likely added later. It has moulded string courses and sash windows with architraves, while the second floor has casement windows. The first floor windows are topped with flat arches that have keystones. The building has projecting brick quoins, which are rusticated on the first floor and rendered on the ground floor. The doorcase at No 18 has panelled reveals. There is a 19th-century shopfront at No 16, which includes a pilaster and segmental heads above the door and window. Additionally, there are 19th-century railings in front of No 18.
