Description
Old Bracondale is an 18th-century building located on Overstrand Road. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and features a steep pantile roof with coped gable ends and paired eaves brackets. The building has two storeys and an attic, with five windows that are sashes with glazing bars set in segmental headed openings. The centre of the façade has a projecting bay with sashes that have curved sides and a cornice, also complete with glazing bars.
On the ground floor, there is a large modern roughcast porch, and most of the ground floor windows are blocked, except for one sash with glazing bars. The building has three dormers, two of which are small with flat roofs, and on the right side, there is a three-light splayed bay dormer featuring sashes with glazing bars. At the north end, there is a notable two-storeyed projecting bay with a slated roof, which has three sashes with glazing bars on each floor, with the side sashes being curved. A later brick chimney stack is present, and there is a Victorian brick building adjoining to the south.
