Description

Brunswick House is an early 19th-century stuccoed house. It has a pantile roof with a hipped design and overhanging eaves. The house extends over three storeys, with a basement and attic storey, and is three windows wide. It features two large, three-storey bay windows with curved sash windows containing glazing bars, and a moulded eaves cornice that continues around the bays. The second floor has a central sash window with glazing bars, while the centre of the first floor is blind. A central, round-headed recessed doorway boasts a semi-circular fanlight with intersecting glazing bars and a panelled door. The attic storey is set back on the roof and features a stuccoed front with three small sash windows with glazing bars. Simple basement area railings are also included. Brunswick House, together with Area Railings, forms a group with Tuckers Hotel, No 5, and The Crescent, of which Tuckers Hotel, No 5, and The Crescent are of local interest.
