Description
The Albion Hotel is an early 19th-century corner building located at 32 Church Street. It features a stuccoed exterior and a slate hipped roof, with paired brackets along the eaves soffit. The building stands three storeys tall, with the Church Street elevation showcasing two sash windows with glazing bars, and a bay window on the first floor that has curved sides and a cornice. The Brook Street elevation has three sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor presents a Victorian public house front, characterized by paired pilasters, an entablature with a moulded cornice, and elliptical-headed windows that have iron grilles or panels beneath them. There are also panelled and glazed doors with rectangular fanlights, including one located on the corner. The Albion Hotel, along with No 18 Brook Street and No 34 Church Street, forms a group, although No 34 Church Street is noted to be of local interest only.
