Description
North Lodge is an early to mid-19th century building that formerly served as council offices. It is constructed from flint cobble with yellow brick dressings and features low pitched hipped slate roofs with overhanging eaves. The building has a band at the first-floor level and stands two storeys tall with five bays. The centre left section projects and is three storeys high with a separate hipped roof. The right-hand projecting wing has splayed corners and is three windows wide. All windows are sashes with glazing bars.
At the central projection, there is a porch with splayed corners, a wide cornice supported by large shaped brackets, and a round-headed doorway with panelled double doors. The basement includes three windows, two of which are sashes with glazing bars, while one is blind with semi-circular areas. The building is topped with yellow brick chimney stacks.
