Description
No. 23 Market Place is an early to mid 19th-century building featuring a painted brick front and a flint end wall. It has a low-pitched pantile roof with a coped gable end and bracketted eaves. The building is two storeys high, with three sash windows on the first floor that have margin panes and flat brick arches. The ground floor showcases a large mid to late 19th-century shopfront, complete with pilasters and an entablature, and a central doorway flanked by three-light plate glass windows with Tudor arch heads.
