Description

No. 16 Market Place is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick with a pantile roof featuring gable ends and overhanging eaves. The building is two storeys high and has three windows on the front, with the right side splayed back to align with the street line. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with flat rubbed brick arches. The ground floor has a similar window on the right, a central doorway with a round rubbed brick arch, which includes a semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars and a panelled door. The left side features a modern shop front made of an aluminium frame.
